Hawaiian Fried Rice

Ever have the problem of having too much leftover rice? I do, and this is a great way to use some of that old food taking up space in your fridge.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3.5 cups leftover rice
  • 1.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 slices bacon
  • dash of salt
  • 1 packet of pineapple with juice
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2.5 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 cubic inch of fresh ginger peeled and sliced
  • 1 bunch of green onion

To start:

Start frying the bacon in a small or medium frying pan. Also fry the two eggs in a large pan.

Notice how I very loosely scrambled them in the pan.

Now, add the rice and oil and keep on low while the bacon cooks.

When the bacon is finished, shop it into small bites and pour about two tablespoons of the grease into the rice.

Add the rest of the ingredients except for the green onions.

You want to stir occasionally and let the bottom brown each time. This will give the fried rice a nice texture.

Serve with garnish and lime. Enjoy!
