363days.org – Making Sandwiches

Let the sandwich making begin!  Start with 2 slices of bread…

Add bologne…

and cheese….

then give your sandwich to the baggie stuffer and closer, and finally to the loaf bagger.  Couldn’t be simpler!

In only one half of an hour we had two tables filled with bread bags of sandwiches.  As our Pastor would say, “Way to go!”

Then off to Pat’s car to load her up for the trip downtown to meet Mr. Law of 363days.org.  He would deliver the fresh sandwiches to people in need who hopefully would sleep a little better that night.

Here is a word of thanks from Pat.

Leaders, please pass this onto the wonderful women in your group…

Thank you for helping provide sandwiches for the homeless!
We made over 800 sandwiches this evening, thanks to the donations
and helping hands from our women’s Bible Study groups.

The sandwiches were delivered to Mr. Law a little after 9pm
this evening.  My husband Wade, went with me to Minneapolis
to make the sandwich drop.  A picture is attached.

Mr. Law is so thankful to you for making them!  He will be delivering
them starting tonight.  He drives around 18 hours a day to do that.
In 2011, he delivered 750,000 sandwiches.

Mr. Law gave me brouchures to give each one of you.  I will be giving
them to the Bible Study group leaders.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of the Lord!
I am so proud to be a part of such a wonderful group of
women!!

Love, Pat

Thank you Pat for organizing this evening and giving us the opportunity to help!  It was an honor to be a part of this small effort to make a dent in the needs of our neighbors.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction,

faithful in prayer.

Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.

Practice hospitality.
