Thanksgiving Place Cards

To create DIY place cards with your guests names you’ll need pine cones, colorful leaves from the craft store, a glue gun, glue sticks and a metallic marker.  The fine tip marker was too small, so I went with a slim tip which produced a nice line that was readable on the leaves.  You may need to experiment on a couple of leaves, so take them along when you visit the art store or office store.

Print the names before you glue the leaves in place, so you can write on a flat surface.  Then remove the stem of the maple leaves and cut them at an angle at their base. This will allow them to fit in between the pine cone leaves with plenty of room for the glue to adhere.  In a matter of minutes you’ll have a wonderful collection of all your Thanksgiving guests ready to set at their places.  Won’t these look wonderful with the pine cone turkeys and candle centerpiece?

Have fun preparing for this wonderful holiday meal and gathering of family and friends.
