veggie oil for sauteing the onion and jalapeno
6 oz or 1/2 a package of Kraft American Cheese, not individually wrapped
4 oz or 1/2 package pepper jack cheese
4 oz or 1/2 package provolone cheese
1/2 cup half-and-half, or milk if you prefer
1 Roma tomato diced
1/4 cilantro, chopped or cut
2 T chives, fresh if possible
Gently saute the onion and jalapeno, then add the cheeses and cream and stir until melted.
Next, add the fresh ingredients – tomato, cilantro and chives and stir. That’s it!
Pour your melted queso into the crock pot and serve it up. Couldn’t be any simpler and it tastes fresh, warm and yummy.
