Harvest Time and Cucumber Recipe

My two little grandsons proudly brought me their armfuls of cucumbers and carrots from the vegie garden. They loved searching the vines that were bigger than themselves for the bright yellow and green cucumbers.

To see how the cucumbers started out you can check this post from earlier this summer and see how far they’ve come, from this…..

If you want more information on where to purchase the True Lemon Cucumber check out this link at Seed Savers Exchange if you want to grow this delightful heirloom.  It is so good, that you could eat it like an apple right off the vine, skin and all.  Yummmmm.  For dinner we made this super simple side salad in a matter of minutes.  Fresh, organic, homegrown deliciousness.  I did not slice up the Parisian Pickling Cucumbers, as I’m hoping to make time to make refrigerator pickles.  Until then try this simple cucumber salad recipe with fresh cucumbers from the Farmer’s Market or your neighbors garden.
