Burbon Carmel Apple Pie

It is that time of year again! Fall is in nearly here. But I am ok with that. The apple orchards will soon be busy and a bounty of fresh apples is already here. Last year, we made a Bourbon Carmel Apple Pie with a homemade crust. This is a perfect idea for Thanksgiving, or for just a fun dessert. We made our own crust from scratch, used a mandolin to cut the apples, seasoned them, arranged them in a circle like shown and after the pie was baked, made a carmel bourbon glaze to top it off.
