About Dan Ashbach

Meet the Dan behind Dan330. He started a Pinterest account in December 2011 while off on a leave from his day job as a captain on an Airbus A330. While traveling the world, Dan practiced his longtime hobby of photography and developed his eye for natural beauty and appreciation of great photography. Continuing his love of exploration and great pictures, Dan added Pinterest to his daily routine; especially during the long Minnesota winters. His eye for great photography was recognized by the Pinterest community and in just under one year, Dan330 had attracted over one million followers. Dan and his wife Laurie have three children, seven grandchildren and two grand puppies. When not pinning, Dan loves to travel and participate in just about any outdoor activity. There are a few exceptions to this, but to find out what they are you have to go to the Dan330 board dedicated to “Things he won’t do”.

I tried to make these with fake leaves and Modge Podge as centerpieces for my wedding. Thank goodness I left plenty of time before the wedding to do crafts. It was an unsuccesul attempt and I had to go with another idea. Maybe it would work better with real leaves. Thanks for the idea though!

yes, fyi, Mod Podge does NOT stick to glass. I had to switch to a really strong spray adhesive that worked but my hands are now covered in it and I feel like they will be for days.

I'm going to attempt with hot glue gun and fake leaves. I knew from being an artist and art therapist there was no way ModgePodge was going to hold fake leaves. Maybe real ones! Sorry you all had problems. I'll let you know how hot glue works but I'm afraid it'll just pop off once it's cool.

I'm glad I'm not the only one , I am using real leaves and i am having a hard time getting them to stay.i did have a lil success When I put the glue on the leaf let it dry for the most part then put a lil more on and let it dry a lil till it was sticky, but that still took patience and a lot of holding the leaf and kept pushing it down. Very slow process and have to have a lot of patience but still not working too well I feel like the leaf might burn If I put a candle in it
