I am going to show you how easy it is to eat asparagus with this baked asparagus recipe. This recipe is a great side dish and goes well with steak, mashed potatoes, chicken or just about any other meat.

Ingredients

  • 1 bundle of asparagus
  • olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar
  • pinch of salt

Directions

Rinse off of the asparagus and cut off the bottom stem to remove any fibrous stalk. You should be able to easily bend the stalk.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Lay the asparagus down on a baking sheet. For easier clean up, you can also use a piece of tinfoil. Drizzle some olive oil and the balsamic vinegar on top of the asparagus.

Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until the desired doneness is met. Asparagus does not need to be cooked so the amount of time you use to bake your asparagus varies quite a bit.

When the baking is done, pull the asparagus out of the oven and season with salt.
