I’m a parent of four kids. Life is very busy and sometimes the family can make a little mess. Between pets, motorcycles, kids, and lots of carpet, we can get some pretty interesting stains, spots and odors around our house.

My family chooses to be healthy and prefers to use products that are non-toxic and green so it important for us to find good products.

About Chem-Dry

I was very excited to try Chem-Dry and have some great results to share with you. First, let me tell you a little bit about Chem-Dry. Founded in 1977, Chem-Dry is now in 3,500 carpet cleaning locations throughout 47 countries serving over 10,000 homes per day.

Chem-Dry uses a proprietary hot carbonating extraction cleaning process that uses millions of microscopic bubbles to deliver a deeply clean, fast drying carpet. The primary cleaning solution, The Natural® is a green certified and has no soaps, detergents, or phosphates, making it non-toxic for kids and pets.

What does this all mean? Well, Chem-Dry uses 80% less water than a typical steam cleaning. Carpets will dry in one to two hours, rather than in two days.  It is healthier for the home, and reduces the chance of water making it down to the carpet backing.

Honestly, I have never used Chem-Dry before. I found the directions on the bottle to be very easy to follow and understand. There are no tricks, just simple directions.

Here are my spots. I think they were spilled pop from our science project “What is a Burp.”

I simply sprayed the spots and let them sit for a short time.

Then I used a clean rag to dab the product up.
