DIY – Vanilla Extract
We visited a vanilla farm on the big island of Hawaii a couple of months ago. Really interesting. If I remember correctly, this is the only active farm in the US. Vanilla only grows in a tight latitude range and in only certain climate/soil combinations.
We are sharing this post as many “vanilla” products are not what they appear to be. If you want the real deal you either are going to pay up or make your own. This post gives you some options on making your own vanilla extract. This is a long process so plan ahead.
