How To Make Your Eyelashes Longer

088388eb403d0ebc_640_eyelashHave you been wondering how to make your eyelashes longer? Have you been dreaming of having rainbow eyes too? Ha ha, I can’t help you with the rainbow eyes but I thought it would be a good ice-breaker. I found that picture and couldn’t resist.

Honestly, I haven’t really been dreaming of longer eyelashes (or rainbow eyes), but I do wear mascara every day so I guess I would subconsciously like them longer. But in reality, I don’t like to go into high-end makeup stores that sell the “good” mascara. For one, because I feel like they’re going to find me out – that I don’t know what I’m doing! And the other reason is because I just can’t justify spending that kind of money on makeup. I’m the type that is running low on something, so I check out my Target Cartwheel account to see if there is a coupon for any makeup. If it happens to be on sale and there’s a coupon for it, SOLD! Many times this bites me in the butt, but if I feel like I’m getting a good deal, I don’t really care at the time. Yep, that’s me.

Back to mascara, I buy mine at Target. I have a few different kinds that I know I like and I buy whichever one is cheapest. I recently got into Young Living Essential Oils and found out how I can combine these two to make something fabulous! So, you know how I am about buying makeup, so the fact that I bought a Premium Starter Kit through Young Living must seem like a bit of a shock. It took me a while, it really did. It took me seeing all of the ways that my friends were using them before I realized the value in essential oils. There aren’t coupons (very often) for the Premium Starter Kit and there are definitely cheaper options out there. Normally, I’d just head to the store and buy the cheap stuff, but the oils are different. I bought the oils for a ton of different reason, not just for me but for my kids too. Essential oils enter your body, whether you diffuse them in the home diffuser or you apply them topically. I knew I didn’t want to buy essential oils that came from an unknown source, potentially diluted with some mysterious carrier or artificial fragrance. So, eventually I jumped and bought a Premium Starter Kit. Then, I realized that I was getting into an amazing group that could help me learn how to safely use my oils and have fun with them! My friend added me to a group on Facebook that was LOADED with tips and ideas for using the oils. I knew that I scored big time on this purchase, even though it took me a while to jump off the fence and get my own.

Back to the mascara, again. One of the first things I did when I got my oils in the mail (we call it oil delivery day and it feels like Christmas!) was add just one drop of lavender essential oil into my tube of cheap mascara and then put it away for tomorrow. Then, I played around with my diffuser.

I wish I had taken a “before picture” of my eyelashes but I’m really not much into selfies and I was afraid that my husband would see them and tease me! Anyway, it wasn’t long before I realized that my eyelashes were longer and thicker! They got so long that I quit wearing eye liner! Score! Another savings (time and money) for me! Then, I added a few drops of lavender to my shampoo. Score again! My hair is feeling better than it ever has! So go out there, get your essential oils and find all of the ways you can save!
