After that, water is added to this mixture to form slaked lime; this slaked lime is then dried to form white powder that is supplied as putty powder.
- Cement Plaster: This plaster is made with the help of three essential elements which are gypsum plaster, Portland cement and sand. This form of plaster is mainly applied on the internal and external walls of masonry in order to get smooth surface.
Different Types of Cornice
- Box Cornice: Just as the name suggests, box cornice is a box-like closed form of cornice that is narrow in structure. Further, the cornice is divided. Here it has a nailing surface that serves as the projection for the cornice. Basically, it is meant for those who have gentle slopes on their house.
- Close Cornice: This is snub form of cornice where there are no projections; rather it is used on the walls of the building helping the rainwater to disperse away from the building using it as a channel. It is quite easy to construct this one and it can be used without any complications.
