Essentials
- Deciduous – Can be semi-evergreen in warmer climates
- Zone hardiness: 5 – 9
- Grows well in Full-Sun to Part-Shade
- Grows 5-6 ft tall and wide (dwarf varieties do exist)
Why I love it
- An early seasonal bloomer with very fragrant, honeysuckle-like blooms
- Has a very full and bushy arching cottage garden growing style.
- Very low maintenance though it needs to be pruned in late winter or early spring, as it blooms on new wood.
