I am not usually much of a forager, but as far as I know you can’t buy pine needles for cooking anywhere? As I live in Canada, I am surrounded by more pine trees that you can imagine so sourcing them is easy. In fact they are pretty common wherever you are, so you shouldn’t have much of a problem finding a willing donor at all.
