Crockpot Turkey Meatball Subs
Put your slow cooker to work and take the guesswork out of what to serve for dinner by making turkey meatball subs using store-bought turkey meatballs.
What I love about this recipe is that it serves double duty – Turkey Meatball Subs one night for dinner and the next we reheat and serve what’s left over a bed of pasta.
For the subs, I made a simple homemade tomato sauce for the crockpot before adding Farm Rich turkey meatballs. It’s that easy!
I allow the meatballs to slow simmer for a few hours and dinner is ready when we arrive home. Farm Rich meatballs are my go-to when making meatball subs. I don’t always have time to make my own meatballs from scratch and these Farm Rich Meatballs are the perfect solution.
I like to use the turkey balls because they are lower in fat. And they’re perfect when making meatball subs.
The sauce is an easy concoction of fire roasted and crushed tomatoes. The right mix of spices and Parmesan Cheese adds true Italian flavor to the sauce.
