Marinated Turkey Breast
I am a huge fan of marinating almost any kind of meat, and marinated turkey breast is especially tasty. To me, a good marinade is what takes turkey breast from being slightly boring to being absolutely delicious.
As an added benefit, the strong flavors from the marinade allows you to skip any fatty sauces or condiments, so this is a very healthy turkey breast recipe as well!
The most important ingredient in the marinade is the balsamic vinegar. The acid in the balsamic vinegar is what tenderizes the meat and gives it a lot of flavor.
To add even more flavor, I like to use Mediterranean herbs like basil, thyme, and garlic, but you can just as easily create a spicy marinade with chili powder or paprika. The possibilities are endless, but the version in this recipe is my favorite.
You can leave the turkey breast in the marinade for up to two days in the fridge, so I suggest marinating enough for several meals. It takes less than 10 minutes to cook the marinated turkey breast so it’s great for days where you want something quick, tasty, and healthy.
