Rocky Road Melon Dessert Skewers

I have no experience and no skill and have never played in my life” is the exact phrase I used when I talked to them over the phone. “Perfect,” she said, “you’ll fit right in then.” But somehow I knew that open ‘we welcome all levels of skill and experience’ attitude was too good to be true. My mind is blank. Another sports wind-up. This is the second one in a week and it’s another potluck. This time I am charged with bringing a dessert and I have no inspiration whatsoever. I need something quick, no bake, tasty and something kids will like. Then I get a flash of brilliance!

You can’t go wrong with dessert skewers, especially for a potluck. I mean, it’s dessert on a stick! And fruit is healthy, right? So I don’t have to be completely guilt-ridden for plying all those innocent youngins’ with even more refined sugar. Also, what kid doesn’t love marshmallows? And well, 2 bite brownies … ’nuff said!
