Best Ever Gin and Tonic (Mint-Basil, and Cucumber)

The Best Ever Gin and Tonic is named such because it is the best ever!

What is better than a refreshing drink on a summer day after a good run or some hard work? Gin and Tonics have always been one of my go to drinks for company during the summer. But this time we are making it with a garden-y twist.

Here’s what you will need:

  • Mint-Basil (Mint-basil is a basil that has a strong mint flavor to it. If you don’t have mint-basil, you can use a small amount of basil with your mint or experiment with other types of mint – they all add a different twist!)
  • Cucumber
  • Lime
  • Tonic Water
  • Gin – Bombay Sapphire is a great pick for this drink because it has a cucumber undertone to begin with.

To make the Best Ever Gin and Tonic:

Squeeze a lime wedge over ice into a glass. Add four slices of cucumber and a couple of crushed mint-basil leaves.  Then fill the glass with a 1:2 ratio of Gin and tonic water. Garnish with a slice of lime, cucumber, and a sprig of mint.
