Baked Salmon with Rosemary, Garlic, and Olive Oil

Salmon has a reputation for being a “fishy” tasting fillet. It certainly can be if it is not fresh or cooked well. Frankly, many people don’t eat salmon because they don’t know how to prepare it. Salmon is a very healthy choice when choosing fish. It is loaded with Omega 3 fatty acids and it is worth learning a couple of recipes to work this fish into your meal plans each month.

Here is a simple way that anyone can make this very tasty, and good for you dish. You can serve this as a main dish, or as an appetizer. The key to salmon is to buy fresh fillets and knowing what kind of complementing flavors need to be added to it. In this dish, we will be blending garlic and rosemary together.

Here’s what you need for this 15 minute meal:

  • Fresh Salmon Fillet
  • Two sprigs Fresh Rosemary
  • One Clove of Garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Mince the rosemary and garlic. Then spread them onto the salmon fillets. Place the fillets on a baking sheet. You can use parchment paper if you would like. This can make cleaning up your sheet easier. Bake for 11 minutes. Salmon is cooked when it can be flaked apart with a fork.
