Easy Asparagus

Asparagus is a common vegetable in home gardens. It’s understandable because this is such an easy plant to eat as a side or to add into another recipe.

If you find yourself in a pinch for a side dish, this is as easy as it gets.

What you need:

  • One clump of asparagus
  • Butter
  • Onion
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

As always, prepare the asparagus by rinsing it under cold water and cutting off the bottom of the stalk where the tougher fibers are starting to grow up.

Then, place the cut asparagus on a baking sheet. Make sure to use a baking sheet that has a lip or small side on all four edges so the butter does not drip.

Cut up the butter and slice the onion into rings. Even spread both on top of the asparagus in the baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Broil on high until the asparagus and onion is lightly browned.
