For many of us the Caribbean is a dream destination. Warm breezes, beautiful beaches and tropical drinks to be enjoyed while slipping away from the chaos of everyday life. What sets St. Kitts apart from most of the 700 islands of the Caribbean is the ease of getting there. Several airlines offer nonstop flights from North American gateways. There are even non-stops from London to St. Kitts. I personally did a lot of flying in the Caribbean and can tell you that even from 35,000 feet, St. Kitts is a jewel of an island. It has something for every interest so I recommend that you follow your heart to St. Kitts.

An important element of any vacation is the accommodations. While it is great fun to explore new places and experience the local culture, it is always nice to know that at the end of the day your home away from home is a little more familiar with the amenities you are looking for. The St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino is a great choice when visiting St. Kitts. I have stayed in a lot of Marriott properties in 35 years of traveling for a living and it is a brand I know I can trust and count on for great value when I am spending my vacation dollars.

I am an explorer by nature and I look forward to riding the narrow gauge train on St. Kitts to get a feel for the island and then off I will go exploring the bays and beaches and maybe even hike to the top of a dormant volcano. Notice I skipped the zipline tour? I’m actually afraid of heights. All this activity will take a toll on this old guy and I will definitely head for the Emerald Mist Spa at the Marriott at the end of the afternoon. There’s nothing like a day of adventure followed by a great spa treatment to set the mood for a relaxing evening at one of the eight restaurants at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.

About Dan Ashbach 792 Articles
Meet the Dan behind Dan330. He started a Pinterest account in December 2011 while off on a leave from his day job as a captain on an Airbus A330. While traveling the world, Dan practiced his longtime hobby of photography and developed his eye for natural beauty and appreciation of great photography. Continuing his love of exploration and great pictures, Dan added Pinterest to his daily routine; especially during the long Minnesota winters. His eye for great photography was recognized by the Pinterest community and in just under one year, Dan330 had attracted over one million followers. Dan and his wife Laurie have three children, seven grandchildren and two grand puppies. When not pinning, Dan loves to travel and participate in just about any outdoor activity. There are a few exceptions to this, but to find out what they are you have to go to the Dan330 board dedicated to “Things he won’t do”.
