My busy family has six hungry mouths and a very busy schedule. Between sports, school, and active lifestyles, frozen foods help us out all day long. The fact is, frozen foods are very convenient and can also be very good. Freezing food simply pauses the recipes made with fresh ingredients and suspends them there until you are ready to enjoy them. This locks in the freshness, flavor, and nutrients. Frozen. How Fresh Stays Fresh
Here’s the thing, frozen food is real food. It is made from real recipes and real ingredients. Freezing is simply a natural pause button that keeps just picked, just baked and just crafted foods at the peak of freshness. I can appreciate that!
I want to share with you a few ways my family integrates frozen food into our daily routine. For breakfast, we often make Jimmy Dean Croissants, Hot Pockets, Toaster Strudels, or Eggo Waffles.
Want to more about fresh vs frozen?
One of my favorite breakfasts are the Jimmy Dean sandwiches. They are so convenient and makes for a quick hot breakfast.
Hot Pockets are a great anytime snack too.
Toaster Studels are a fun pastry that comes with a great frosting.
Eggo Waffles are an iconic frozen food. They are easy to dress up with berries, syrup, and whipped cream for a big breakfast.
These are made very quickly in a toaster or a microwave. It is easy for older children to prepare before school and they taste great too.
Later in the day, we have several snacks around for the kids and their friends. Here’s a picture of the TGI Friday’s Stuffed Jalapenos, Totino’s Pizza Rolls, and Delimex Beef and Cheddar Rolled Taco’s. Frozen food really let me try a lot of different cuisine really easily. Just wait to you read my post on dinner! Check out the benefits of frozen foods.
I baked each of these snacks in the over and they make for a great warm snack for the whole family. Here’s a couple pictures to show you how great they are.
I do a lot of cooking in life and for this blog. It is really helpful to have frozen food around the house too. Freezing is simply a natural pause button that keeps just picked, just baked, and just crafted foods at the peak of freshness for use later. Some of the brands I love are: ConAgra Foods, General Mills, Heinz, Hillshire, Kellogg’s, Nestle, Pinnacle, and Schwan’s. So make sure you go to your local store and get some of these great products.
Remember, frozen is how fresh stays fresh.
