Yard Products to Spruce up your Garden and Lawn

We are half way through summer now. The spring flowers are most likely done, and some of the later summer flowers are just beginning. Here in Minnesota, we just finished our lilies, but are really enjoying our day lilies and clematis at the moment. We are finally enjoy some of our vegetable gardens too. While the corn, pumpkins, and squashes aren’t quite ready, many plants are. This time of year you get to reflect on how well your garden is growing, how your yard designs are being enjoyed, and what changes you would make next year. It got me thinking, “What are the most searched for and sought after gardening and landscaping ideas in the middle of summer?” I did some research and put a short list of some of the more interesting ones together for you here. I hope you enjoy!

Here are a couple of books I recommend you buy for planning your garden next year: The first is Straw Bale Gardening. Ok, ok. I know it is too late to start a straw bale garden this year, but if you are sick of weeding, watering, and all of the maintenance of a traditional garden, get this book. It will save your life and your gardens future.

We sell this one in our store. If you would like to purchase it, click here.

On a related note, you might be more of an urban gardener. You should check out Square Foot Gardening Too! This is also a very hot book.
