Maple Pecan Pie
Pecan pie is another holiday favorite. We only had it during the holiday season. I could not understand this as a kid since I thought it was so good. Why not have it several times a year? Though I loved pecan pie, it did seem odd to me that a pie would be made out of nuts. Fruit pie made sense to me but a pie made out of nuts – hmmm. In any case I ate as much as I could get a hold of. I liked the crunchiness of the pecans and the maple flavor in the filling. This pie looks yummy! The recipe can be found at bettycrocker.com.
