Here’s Our Recipe for the Arla Dofino Egg Hash with Baked Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Havarti or other Aria Dofino cheese
  • Vegetable Oil
  • 1.5 cups hash browns
  • 1 egg
  • asparagus
  • red pepper
  • bacon
  • green onion
  • olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar

Directions:

Cook the bacon in a frying pan. When it is done, drain the grease and chop.

Pour just enough vegetable oil in a small cast iron pan to cover the bottom. Dump in the hash browns and turn the heat on medium. To get a good base, cook them and turn them so that the top and bottom are golden brown. Alternatively, you can cook the bottom in a pan and then broil the top.

As the bacon and hash is cooking, cut the bottoms of the asparagus off and lay them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Broil until the asparagus is cooked as desired.

Chop the red pepper and green onion and set aside.

Fry an egg.

To finish the plate, layer in this order: Hash browns, fried egg, then sprinkle with green onion, red pepper, bacon, and top with cheese and asparagus.
