DIY – Upcycled Light Bulb Planters
Aren’t these fun? Great idea too. The original post is long on recycling and short on actual directions. To make these bulb planters, cut the business end of the bulb off leaving the the thread. If you use a power tool for this be sure to wear safety glasses as you are dealing with metal shreds and glass if things go terribly wrong.
Once you have the end of the bulb cut off, file the sharp edges and/or bend the metal thread over so you do cut yourself on the sharp edges. Drill a hole in each side of the threaded metal to attach wire or string to hang your light bulb planter.
After you have cleaned your light bulb out you can add your favorite plants.
