Chocolate, Honey & Sesame Treats
This little treat is a take on Halva. Halva is something that my dad ate growing up that looked gross to me as a child. It was a pale, crumbly paste that did not look appealing to me. It’s usually made from tahini (sesame seed paste) or some other nut butter, honey and a few other ingredients. I just tasted it for the first time last year and now I’m in love with it. I usually buy a little piece when my friend and sister and I go down to the Strip district in Pittsburgh and shop at all the ethnic stores there. I always come back with something new and interesting from these trips and usually a piece of halva too.
