
Honey Chai Roasted Almonds
I thought making honey-roasted almonds would be as simple as tossing them in some honey and throwing them in the oven. I tried it. I ended up with some sort of really chewy almond/honey brittle that stuck in my teeth in a really bad way.
So I did end up going the extra mile and roasting the almonds first, then simmering them in the honey (with some water and coconut oil), then finally tossing them in a salty/sweet brown sugar/chai spice/sea salt blend. The extra effort {if you can even call it that} was absolutely 100% worth it.
These guys make a perfect study snack when my sweet tooth kicks in, and would also be great for a work lunch. They would be great as a party appetizer as well!
