We think you will love this apple cranberry crisp. The balanced combination of sweet and tart flavors from apples and cranberries takes the classic apple crisp to whole another level. I just love the slight tartness from cranberries, you know. And the mixture of nuts gets toasted during baking and adds nice texture to the crisp.


Since cranberries are a bit on a tart side, go with sweeter apples. For my first round, I used Pink Lady and Granny Smith apples. Pink Lady is sweet n’ tart and holds its shape during baking.Granny Smith is also tart and firm apples, great for baking. I liked it a bit tart like that, but it wasn’t a huge hit at the ranch.

Warm apple cranberry crisp with nutty, crunchy crumbs and sweet n’ tart apple cranberry filling. Yum!
