Thanksgiving Kids Tables

Thanksgiving Kids Tables

I don’t know what happened but suddenly my wife and I have 7 grandkids. When we have the family over for any kind of gathering, it seems we just don’t fit at one table any more.

I found some small plastic tables at a big box store a while back and they have been a hit with the grandkids. We got in the habit of using butcher paper on top of the tables and leaving a big container of crayons for them to be creative with.  The kids have loved the opportunity to color or draw as they see fit. The adults actually get a little peace and quiet too.

Our oldest grandchild turned 10 today. A trend we have noticed is that the older grandchildren don’t mind sitting away from the main table for a family dinner as long as they have a special setting appropriate to their age. We use two of the these plastic tables now for the whole family and it works well. When we create a fun place for the kids they really respond positively. (and they are well behaved)

We have put together a slideshow of some of the best Thanksgiving kids tables we could find. Do yourself a favor and pick some kid sized furnature and get inspired to make your kids or grandkids Thanksgiving table special.

This first one is for a little older kids.
