Being authentic means being yourself.

I was talking to a business owner the other day. Like so many others, he is very busy running his business and hired someone to help him with social media. Sounds simple enough, right? Well it isn’t always that simple.

So often small brands are built around a personality. This was the case with this owner as well. The problem he had was that nobody could offer the voice of his craft the way he could. This is important for people to know when you are selling sponsored content or social media services. As bloggers and influencers, we may have to be ourselves and not try to step into the shoes of someone else. Listen to this live stream to learn more about my thoughts on being authentic and promoting brands on social media.

This is part of a year-long series called Daily Social Tips. We are broadcasting live on Facebook, Periscope (@dan330msp), and Snapchat (Chris.Ashbach) so make sure you catch us on each of these medias. Otherwise, you can always catch the entire series here.
