If you are just starting out, you best bet is to work with sponsored networks like IZEA. I attached an affiliate link here. Go check them out. Then, make a media kit and go direct to companies too. I still do both. IZEA is awesome to work with, and even though I have a healthy group of customers directly, I keep my account active and the relationships great with them because it never hurts to work with the big players.
