Langos – Hungarian Fried Bread
Langos (pronounce Langosh) is a Hungarian deep fried flat bread (made of yeast, flour & water) that is eaten while still warm. It is usually topped with sour cream, grated cheese garlic oil or ketchup. This fast-food item is popular not only in Hungary but in neighboring countries such as Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and it can also be found it Croatia, Serbia or Romania.
Because it is deep fried, it is quite heavy and that is why I don’t make it that often. But the less often I make it the more I enjoy eating them!
