People are freaking in love with peanut butter, and they also love little balls as snacks. Amazeballs, energy balls, protein balls, they take over my social media feed, and people go CRAZY for them. While I’ve made them for Mr. Hungry several times, I’ve never really been into the trend. I mean, it’s so little food for usually SO MANY CALORIES. No, I don’t think calories should rule your life, but they should be at least considered. When you pack together dried fruit and nuts, you have a calorie BOMB. Not to mention, they throw one scoop of protein powder in them and call them protein balls. If I were to describe food to you that had 10 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbs and 2 grams of protein per serving how would you classify that food? Not a significant source of protein, that’s what.
