American Salad
This is the perfect lighter option for any cookout this summer! Bursting with red, white, and blue goodies, plus the most American food ever – BACON! The most American salad ever – potluck perfect!
I made and photographed this “All American Salad” yesterday, and it was gone by yesterday night. I knew Mr. Hungry was going to complain because he HATES fruit in his salad, but I hoped that the bacon would make amends for that. When I presented him with this salad, the look on his face was hysterical. He asked, “is this for you?” He then went on to explain, “I told you I don’t eat fruit, especially in a salad. Tom Brady doesn’t eat fruit, either do I.” (Can you guys see me rolling my eyes????? ) Then, he started eating it, at first slowly then faster till the whole bowl was gone. Then he said, “Okay that was pretty good, is there any more?”
