Anoka is the next small town, where docks and pontoon boats dot the river as we travel south, followed by the Coon Rapids Dam before we hit the metropolis of Mpls/St. Paul.

Back on our home turf we’ll take you for a short ride through Minneapolis. There’s a lot to see and we won’t cover it all here, but you’ll get the feel for the city and how it’s grown up along the Mississippi. The river enters Minneapolis on the north end and continues into the heart of the city on it’s way to St. Paul, our state capital.
The Grain Belt Brewery sign and the Hennepin Avenue bridge.

Looking down the river towards Minnehaha Falls. The Ford dam is just on the horizon and this marks the end of heavy duty commerce of the Mississippi.
