Highway 61 took us back across the river south of Le Crescent and into La Crosse, Wisconsin. La Crosse is a bigger town and home to among other things the worlds largest six pack.

We visited with Dave Clements from the La Crosse Area Convention and Visitors Bureau who suggested a few locals sights to see. The visitors center is in a beautiful park right along the river. There is a paddleboat parked right there.
Dave told us we must see the Grand dad Bluff Park. Unfortunately it had started to rain very lightly by this time and we rode very carefully up the windy road to the park. Rain and fog didn’t help with the view.

We were pretty wet by now and it was chilly. We stopped by a small establishment just outside of the park and checked the weather. If we were going to get to Marquette that night we were going to have to ride in some rain. After we warmed up we headed back down the windy road and road in the rain through rush hour traffic southbound out of La Crosse.
